Locating Priestess Gut
To find Priestess Gut initially, or if she has seemingly disappeared from her usual spot:
- Navigate past the goblin guards and enter the Shattered Sanctum.
- Proceed west (to the left, if facing the main altar) and ascend the stairs.
- Priestess Gut's private chamber is typically the rightmost door in this upper area. Access may require lockpicking.
Scenarios Involving Her Absence or "Missing Body"
Several interactions can lead to Priestess Gut being absent from her initial position or her body being missing after a confrontation:
- Potion Interaction: Gut may offer a potion. If your character drinks it or refuses, they can be knocked out.
- If knocked out, you may awaken in a different location, such as a cell. Gut might not be in the immediate vicinity.
- Characters with Fey Ancestry may have an adverse reaction to the potion (or its refusal), potentially causing Gut to become hostile immediately.
- Combat: You can choose to attack Priestess Gut.
- If she is defeated in combat, her body should typically be found where the fight concluded, usually her chambers or the location where hostility began.
- If her body is not present after a confirmed defeat, ensure you are checking the correct location. In some rare instances, game mechanics might lead to a body despawning, but this is less common for key figures.
- Party Intervention: If your primary character is incapacitated by Gut, other party members might intervene and defeat her. Her body would then be where they engaged her.
Troubleshooting a "Missing Body":
- Double-check Priestess Gut's private chambers thoroughly.
- Retrace steps from your last interaction with her.
- If combat occurred, ensure the area of the fight is correctly identified.
- Consider if another party member dealt with her while your active character was elsewhere or incapacitated.
