The genuine Warrior Statue is based on the Terracotta Army soldiers, a collection of terracotta sculptures depicting the armies of Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of China. These were buried with the emperor in 210–209 BCE with the purpose of protecting him in his afterlife.
Identification: Genuine vs. Forged
Distinguishing a genuine Warrior Statue from a forgery sold by Jolly Redd is crucial for museum donations. The key difference lies in what the statue is holding, or if it's leaning:
- Genuine Warrior Statue: The authentic statue stands upright and is not holding any tools. Its hands are empty or in a neutral position.
