S-Tier - Dominant Powerhouses
-
Queen Sigma: Starts with Victory Sword and Arcana VIII - Mad Groove. Possesses exceptionally high base stats and powerful scaling, making her overwhelmingly strong from the start to the end of any run.
-
Red Death: Unlocked by defeating Death. Boasts extremely high starting stats, particularly movement speed and might, allowing for aggressive play and rapid map clearing.
-
Pugnala Provola: Begins with two weapons, Phiera Der Tuphello and Eight The Sparrow. Gains +1% Might every level. This dual-weapon start and scaling might provide immense early-game power and scales well into late game.
A-Tier - Excellent & Versatile
-
Gallo Tower: Starts with Clock Lancet. Gains +1 Amount every 12 levels (up to +3). The ability to gain extra projectiles for all weapons offers incredible scaling potential and control.
-
Concetta Caciotta: Starts with Shadow Pinion. Gains +1% Area every level. Infinite area scaling makes her weapons cover massive portions of the screen, excellent for crowd control.
-
Krochi Freetto: Starts with Cross. Begins with +1 Revival and gains another at level 33 (total +2). Also has +30% Movement Speed. Revivals provide safety, and speed aids survivability and collection.
-
Antonio Belpaese: Starts with Whip. Gains +10% Might every 10 levels (up to +50%). Simple yet effective damage scaling makes him a consistent damage dealer.
B-Tier - Strong & Reliable
-
Imelda Belpaese: Starts with Magic Wand. Gains +10% Growth (XP) every 5 levels (up to +30%). Faster leveling allows for quicker access to power-ups and evolutions.
-
Pasqualina Belpaese: Starts with Runetracer. Gains +10% Projectile Speed every 5 levels (up to +30%). Runetracer is a solid weapon, and increased projectile speed enhances its effectiveness.
-
Suor Clerici: Starts with Santa Water. Begins with +0.5 HP/s recovery and +30 Max Health. Also starts with a large +400% Area bonus that decreases by 100% per level until level 5. Massive early game AoE control.
-
Zi'Assunta Belpaese: Starts with Vento Sacro. Gains +0.5% Might, Projectile Speed, Duration, and Area every level. Versatile scaling across multiple stats, making Vento Sacro increasingly potent.
C-Tier - Decent with Investment
-
Poe Ratcho: Starts with Garlic. Begins with -30 Max Health but +25% Magnet. Garlic provides strong early-game protection and damage, while the increased magnet helps with XP collection. The health penalty can be risky.
-
Porta Ladonna: Starts with Lightning Ring. Has a permanent +30% Area bonus. Starts with -90% Cooldown which normalizes over levels. Strong initial burst but requires focus to maintain relevance.
-
Arca Ladonna: Starts with Fire Wand. Gains -5% Weapon Cooldown every 10 levels (up to -15%). Cooldown reduction is beneficial, but Fire Wand can be slow early on.
-
Dommario: Starts with King Bible. Has +40% Duration and -40% Movement Speed. King Bible is a strong defensive weapon, but the significant speed penalty can be detrimental.
D-Tier - Niche or Challenging
-
Mortaccio: Starts with Bone. Gains +1 Amount every 20 levels (up to +3). Bone is a weak starting weapon, and the scaling for extra projectiles is slow.
-
Cavallo: Starts with Cherry Bomb. Gains +1 Amount every 20 levels (up to +3). Similar to Mortaccio, Cherry Bomb is an unreliable starting weapon, and the scaling is slow.
-
Exdash Exiviiq: Starts with Ebony Wings. Has very poor base stats (-23 Health, -10% Might, -10% Area, -50% Speed) but +100% Luck. Highly reliant on luck for good item choices and stat rolls, making runs inconsistent.
-
Toastie: Starts with Peachone. Extremely fragile with 1 max HP. Gains significant stat bonuses at levels 100 and 200 if specific conditions are met. A high-risk, high-reward character primarily for challenge runs.
